The Boston Consulting Group has come up with a formula to base the success of a franchise. These are Cash Cows (high share and low growth), Stars (high share and high growth), Question Marks (low share and high growth) and Dogs (low share and low growth). We are going to discuss video games it is one the biggest trends in entertainment right now. The current consoles out right now are Sony's PlayStation 3, Nintendo's Wii, Microsoft's Xbox 360, PC Games and Android and ISO. I feel like the Xbox and the PlayStation are the star's because almost every household in america has at least one of these hooked up to their TV. I think the dog here is Nintendo's Wii, they haven't released anything new that is a "wow" factor and they are cheaper then everything else.
